Actor Frank Langella, who is known for his roles as Dracula, Sherlock Holmes and Richard Nixon, has written a tell-all book about the Hollywood icons he once worked with. The book is called Dropped Names: Famous Men and Women As I Knew Them. ‘There will be a fair amount of forks to the eye and knives to the throat,’ Langella warns at the outset about his recollections.
Having once dated famous actresses like Rita Hayworth and Elizabeth Taylor, he reveals an inside look into the lives of these icons. Other people who are featured in the book are: Richard Burton, Laurence Olivier and even president John F. Kennedy. He refers to Jacky Kennedy as a woman who finds money an ‘aphrodisiac’, calls Paul Newman ‘a bore’ and Anne Bancroft ‘a narcissist’. Suffice it to say that the book has caused quite a stir….
Dropped Names: Famous Men and Women As I Knew Them is published by Harper and available from amazon.co.uk from April 5.
